An Empirical Study on Lifelong Learning Behaviors of Younger Urban Retirees
摘要
Abstract
Lifelong learning of younger urban retirees hold significant importance for actively addressing population ageing and fully harnessing human resources.Based on life course theory and social capital theory,a three-dimensional theoretical framework(time-context-conversion)for younger urban retirees'lifelong learning behaviors is constructed.By tracing key learning events of 32 younger retirees in the cities of GY and BJ,the study finds that:in the time dimension, physiological, social, and family-related turning points jointly drive the transition of lifelong learning from the capacity-enhancement phase to an interest-driven phase;in the context dimension, fiscal investment, community organization, and family culture are significant factors causing disparities in policy implementation, thereby directly affecting the conversion efficiency of social capital;in the conversion dimension, compensatory tools such as physiological support, knowledge acquisition, and policy safeguards collectively facilitate lifelong learning. These findings not only reveal the dynamic mechanisms behind lifelong learning behaviors but also offer a new theoretical perspective for sustaining learning engagement.Practical strategies include establishing a dual-track curriculum system that bridges vocational skills and personal interests through credit banks, strengthening the role of household networks in policy resource conversion, and establishing a mechanism that links a provincial-level monitoring platform with the targeted delivery of elderly-friendly toolkits, thereby contributing to the formation of a ubiquitous accessibility lifelong education system.关键词
