Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of abdominal acupuncture combined with Coptis chinensis decoction in the treatment of diabetic gastroparesis in type 2 diabetes mellitus(DGP).Methods:A total of 86 patients with DGP were enrolled as subjects and were divided into treatment group and control group using a random number table,with 43 patients in each group.The patients in the control group were given basic treatment and Western medicine treatment(oral administration of mosapride citrate tablets),while those in the treat-ment group were given abdominal acupuncture combined with Coptis chinensis decoction in addition to the treatment in the control group;the course of treatment was 4 weeks for both groups.The two groups were compared in terms of clinical outcome,symptom score,blood glucose levels,gastrointestinal function parameters,and adverse reactions.Results:The treatment group had a significantly higher overall response rate than the control group[97.67％(42/43)vs 83.72％(36/43),P＜0.05].After treatment,both groups had significant reductions in the scores of nausea and vomiting,abdominal distension after eating,belching,and reduction in diet,significant reductions in the levels of glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc),2 hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG)and fasting blood glucose(FBG),significant reductions in gastric capacity and gastric emptying time,and significant increases in gastric emptying rate,antral contraction frequency,antral contraction amplitude,and serum gastrin(GAS),and the treatment group had significantly better improvements than the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).There was no significant difference in the overall incidence rate of adverse reactions between the treatment group and the control group[13.95％(6/43)vs 9.30％(4/43),P＞0.05].Conclusion:In the treatment of DGP,abdominal ac-upuncture combined with Coptis chinensis decoction can improve blood glucose level and gastrointestinal function,thereby promoting the improvement in symptoms and enhancing treatment outcome,with a favorable safety profile.关键词
