壮药"复方走马胎"外敷治疗急性痛风性关节炎40例临床观察
Clinical effect of external application of the Zhuang medicine"compound Giant Leaf Ardisia Rhizome"in treatment of acute gouty arthritis:An analysis of 40 cases

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of external application of the Zhuang medicine"compound Giant Leaf Ardisia Rhizome"in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis.Methods:A total of 80 patients with acute gouty arthritis were divided into treatment group and control group using a random number table,with 40 patients in each group.In addition to the basic treatment including oral administration of diclofenac sodium sus-tained-release tablets and sodium bicarbonate tablets,the patients in the control group were given external applica-tion of Vaseline,while those in the treatment group were given external application of compound Giant Leaf Ardisia Rhizome ointment,for 4-6 hours each time,once a day.After 7 days of treatment,the two groups were observed in terms of clinical outcome,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,serum uric acid(UA),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),and interleukin-6(IL-6),and adverse reactions were observed.Results:There was a significant difference in overall response rate between the treatment group and the control group[87.50％(35/40)vs 72.50％(29/40),P＜0.05].After treat-ment,both groups had significant reductions in VAS score,TCM syndrome score,UA,ESR,CRP,and IL-6,and compared with the control group,the treatment group had significantly lower VAS score,TCM syndrome score,UA,CRP,and IL-6(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the treatment group and the control group[7.50％(3/40)vs 10.00％(4/40),P＞0.05].Conclusion:The Zhuang medicine"compound Giant Leaf Ardisia Rhizome"has a marked clinical effect in the treatment of a-cute gouty arthritis and can effectively alleviate pain,inhibit inflammatory response,and improve gout symptoms,with little adverse effect.关键词
