Abstract

To investigate the effects of vermicompost on the chemical forms of heavy metals Cu and Pb in soil and the absorption and transport of Cu and Pb by tea trees in soil,vermicompost was applied in a Cu and Pb contaminated soil system with tea trees,and cow manure and chemical fertilizer were used as controls.The chemical forms of Cu and Pb in soil and the absorption and transport of Cu and Pb by tea trees were systematically studied under the combined action of vermicompost and and tea tree roots.The results indicate that the application of vermicompost in soil can significantly reduce the content of exchangeable hydrogen and exchangeable aluminum,increase the pH of water and salt extraction,effectively alleviate soil acidification,and significantly increase available nutrients such as organic carbon,total nitrogen,and available nitrogen,available phosphorus,and available potassium.In the soil system with tea tree roots,the water-soluble exchangeable content of Cu and Pb in the vermicompost treatment group decreased by 66.88%and 57.79%respectively compared to the CK group.The effect of vermicompost on reducing the water-soluble exchangeable content of Cu and Pb in soil was better than that of cow manure and fertilizer treatment groups.The content of Cu in the roots and leaves of tea plants treated with vermicompost decreased by 36.61%and 23.08%respectively compared to the CK group.It can be seen that the application of vermicompost in the soil where tea trees are planted can significantly reduce soil acidification and increase organic carbon content,which is beneficial for reducing the bioavailability of Cu and Pb in the soil.The results of this study have certain reference significance for the soil treatment of tea gardens with slight pollution risks of Cu and Pb heavy metals.
