Abstract

This study systematically evaluated the regulatory effects of foliar applications of amino acid-based biostimulant(Anbishen 300X)and different concentrations of seaweed extracts(Algae 600X,300X,150X)on the phenological periods,yield traits,and spring tea quality of tea plants('Xinyang population cultivar'),using clear water as the blank control and 0.5%urea solution as the local conventional control.The results showed that all biostimulant treatments shortened the growth phenological periods of tea plants and significantly increased the 100-bud weight of tea green.Specifically,the phenological period of the Anbishen 300X treatment was shortened by 2-3 days compared with the controls,followed by the Algae 150X treatment with a reduction of 1-2 days.The Anbishen 300X treatment exhibited the highest bud density,representing an increase of 29.46%-35.50%compared with the controls,while seaweed extracts had little effect on bud density.The 100-bud weight of all biostimulant treatments was increased by 8.57%-22.81%compared with the controls.Additionally,both types of biostimulants could improve the contents of free amino acids and caffeine,and decrease the phenol-ammonia ratio in spring tea to varying degrees,with the Anbishen 300X treatment showing the most pronounced effects,followed by the Algae 300X treatment.In conclusion,foliar application of biostimulants can promote the growth of tea plants and enhance the quality of spring tea.Taken together,Anbishen 300X and Algae 300X demonstrated more significant effects.This study provides a theoretical basis for optimizing biostimulant concentrations and precision management in tea gardens.
