Truck-drone coordinated transportation in last-mile urban logistics:a review

Abstract
With the rapid growth of e-commerce,the demand for urban logistics has continued to rise,intensifying challenges such as traffic congestion and declining delivery efficiency in cities.The progressive implementation of low-altitude economy policies has created valuable opportunities for the practical application of drone delivery.As a key enabler of emerging productive forces,drones have attracted significant attention due to their flexibility and operational efficiency.However,limitations in battery life and payload capacity pose considerable challenges for drones operating independently in complex urban environments.In recent years,extensive academic research has been devoted to drone delivery systems,with significant progress achieved in the collaborative deployment of drones and traditional ground vehicles.This study provided a systematic analysis of the current landscape of truck-drone collaborative delivery models,offering theoretical insights into addressing the"last-mile"challenge in urban logistics and exploring innovative pathways for advancing new forms of productive capacity.Through a comprehensive literature review and comparative analysis,this study systematically reviewed the latest research achievements in the field of drone delivery both in China and abroad.Particular attention was given to four representative collaborative delivery models.An evaluation framework was constructed based on technological feasibility,economic cost,and application scenarios to examine the advantages and limitations of each model.Furthermore,the study investigated optimization strategies for coordinated operations between drones and other transport modes,tailored to the specific demands of urban logistics systems.关键词
