Abstract

Various operational scenarios of conventional railways in China,such as locomotive position correction,running route diversion,as well as passing the target mark and aligning with the target mark,currently rely on manual observations for positioning and location acknowledgement.This common practice results in excessive errors in locomotive distances and abnormalities in routing.This paper aims to enhance the automation and intelligence of monitoring devices for conventional railways from the perspectives of train control safety,simplified operation,and improved efficiency.By leveraging the widespread application of BeiDou differential positioning technology in train operation monitoring systems,this paper proposes the design and implementation of functional modules for automatic range correction in sections,automatic running route checks,and automatic prompts for passing the target mark and aligning with the target mark.This design is grounded in an analysis of latent risks associated with these three operational scenarios and in-depth studies of the necessary technical conditions required for the above functions,including the structure of the differential positioning system,latitude and longitude data fusion,on-board data production techniques,and locomotive coordinate matching algorithms.Laboratory test and verification demonstrate that the proposed functions are effective in reducing crew workload and lower the risk of misoperation.
