摘要

Abstract

Non-uniformity of flow field pressure difference during abrasive machining process is analyzed.Combined with Preston equation,relationship between differential pressure and material removal is obtained.Influence of inlet pressure,workpiece diameter and abrasive viscosity on flow field pressure difference is numerically simulated by using Fluent software.Results show that,the greater inlet pressure and workpiece diameter,the worse uniformity of pressure difference,and increasing abrasive viscosity is conducive to improving uniformity of pressure difference.Process parameters have a significant influence on the uniformity of differential pressure:inlet pressure>abrasive viscosity>workpiece diameter.Further,abrasive flow machining test with workpiece diameter as a variable is con-ducted,and effect of pressure difference on material removal/uniformity in different processing areas is analyzed.
