摘要
Abstract
Gravel(sand)piles are constructed by creating holes in the foundation using methods such as hammering, vibratory pipe sinking,or vibro-flotation.A mixture of gravel and sand is then vibrated and compacted into the pile holes, forming dense granular piles primarily composed of gravel or sand.Gravel(sand)piles serve multiple functions, including compaction, drainage, replacement, and increasing pile stiffness. The interaction between the piles and the surrounding soil forms a composite foundation, which enhances the foundation's compression modulus, reduces settlement deformation, and mitigates seismic liquefaction. In a seawall project with both seismic liquefaction and soft soil foundation issues, theoretical calculations and engineering practice have demonstrated that the gravel(sand)pile composite foundation treatment is highly applicable, feasible, and effective, simultaneously addressing both seismic liquefaction and soft soil foundation problems.关键词
