Characteristics and influencing factors of kinesiophobia in young and middle-aged patients after anteri-or cruciate ligament reconstruction

Abstract
Objective To explore the latent categories of kinesiophobia in young and middle-aged patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction(ACLR)and analyze the influencing factors of kinesiophobia in different categories of pa-tients.Methods Using a convenience sampling method,314 young and middle-aged patients who underwent ACLR in the sports medicine departments of two tertiary hospitals in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from July 2023 to February 2024 were selected as study subjects.Data were collected using a general information questionnaire,the Tampa Scale for Kinesio-phobia(TSK),the Numerical Rating Scale,the Perceived Social Support Scale,the Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire,and the General Self-Efficacy Scale.Latent profile analysis was used to identify categories of their kinesiophobia.Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analyse were conducted to determine the influencing factors.Results The TSK score among young and middle-aged patients after ACLR was(42.60±4.49).Two latent categories were identified,which were low kinesiophobia-pain overcoming group(86 cases,27.4％)and high kinesiophobia-negative coping group(228 cases,72.6％).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that pain intensity(OR=8.141),self-efficacy(OR=0.869),and level of social support(OR=3.191)were significant influencing factors of kinesiophobia categories in these patients(P＜0.001).Conclusion Young and middle-aged patients after ACLR exhibit a moderate to high level of kinesiophobia,with no-table individual differences.Nursing staff should pay attention to young and middle-aged patients after ACLR who experi-ence severe pain,have low self-efficacy,and are excessively protected by their families,in order to reduce patients'kinesio-phobia and promote the recovery of their knee joint function.关键词
