摘要

Abstract

The ultrafast photodissociation dynamics of sulfurous dichloride with 200~255 nm UV excitation was studied by femtosecond time-resolved mass spectrometry.The observed photolysis products are mainly from the three-body dissociation channel,and the contributions of molecular and free radical channels are small.Comparing the rising time of the SO and Cl products,it can be seen that a simultaneous fission of the second S-Cl bond could take place when the critical length for the first S-Cl bond cleavage was reached and the two S-Cl bond fission should occur within a fraction of rotational period.This three-body dissociation is so called asynchronous concerted reaction.At 200 nm excitation,no parent ion signal was observed in the mass spectra due to the shorter excited state lifetime.By comparing the intensities of the different product ions at 200~255 nm excitation,great difference has been shown in the product yields.
