Study on excited state dynamics of 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid
摘要
Abstract
The excited state dynamics of 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid were studied by femtosecond time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations.It was found that the steady-state absorption spectrum of 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid covers a wide range of UVB(ultraviolet radiation b)regions.The molecule is photoexcited to the S2 state by ultraviolet light,and undergoes a rapid internal conversion process through the S2/S1 conical intersection with a time constant of 0.3ps in methanol solution.Accompanied by vibrational cooling process of 5.2 ps,the molecule finally undergoes a trans-cis photoisomerization reaction with a time constant of 47 ps.The research results show that the 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid can quickly convert the excessive energy of ultraviolet radiation into molecular vibrations efficiently,indicating great potential on UV protection.关键词
