Abstract
Accurately assessing the mechanism of embankment overflow damage under water level fluctuations is an important challenge in the field of hydraulic engineering.The traditional analysis method assumes that the initial water level of the embankment is a fixed design flood level,ignoring the dynamic characteristics of hydrological processes,resulting in significant deviations in risk prediction.A joint probability model of water level and rainfall was constructed based on Copula function,combined with unsaturated seepage analysis and numerical methods for slope stability.The failure mode of embankments under sudden water level drop and overflow conditions was systematically studied.The results indicate that water level fluctuations increase the probability of overflow compared to traditional methods.The shallow damage caused by tension cracks is the main failure mode in the early stage of water level drop(with a safety factor reduction of more than 40%).The saturated seepage effect on the downstream slope after overflow keeps the instability risk lasting for more than 10 days.关键词
