Abstract
Objective:To evaluate clinical,aesthetic outcomes of interim implant-supported prosthesis designed and fabricated from a dynamic navigation virtual plan in aesthetic zone.Methods:Consecutive patients requiring one interim im-plant-supported prosthesis in aesthetic zone were treated between February 2023 and June 2024.A total of 32 patients were randomly assigned to two groups,each of 16 patients.The interim prosthesis was designed and fabricated before surgery from a virtual implant plan created in and executed with dynamic navigation in experimental group.The virtual implant plan was imported into a dental computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing(CAD/CAM)software program for the design and fabrication of the interim prosthesis.The interim prosthesis was inserted after the implant was placed by using dynamic navigation and the occlusal contact was adjusted as needed.The definitive prosthesis was inserted 4~6 months after interim prosthesis insertion.The interim prosthesis fabricated with indirect method was used in control group.Treatment outcomes were implant success rates,implant accuracy,pink esthetic score(PES)and white esthetic score(WES)at interim prosthesis or definitive prosthesis placement,and patient satisfaction.Results:No implants failed in two groups.The mean 3D deviation in the experimental group and control group at implant platform were(1.0±0.48)mm vs(1.14±0.54)mm,at apex were(1.23±0.51)mm vs(1.19±0.50)mm,at depth were(0.72±0.67)mm vs(0.64±0.80)mm and angulation were(2.15±0.76)° vs(2.51±1.71)°,respectively.The mean PES in the experimental group and control group at interim prosthesis placement were(11.94±0.93)vs(11.81±0.91),and at definitive prosthesis placement were(11.56±0.63)vs(11.38±0.81),respectively.The mean WES in the experimental group and control group at interim prosthesis placement were(7.56±1.03)vs(7.19±1.28),and at definitive prosthesis placement were(8.69±1.01)vs(8.56±0.73),respectively.All of the pa-tients were satisfied with interim prosthesis and definitive prosthesis in two groups.There were no statistically significant differences in all parameters between two groups.Conclusion:Within study limitations,interim implant-supported prosthesis designed and fabricated from a dynamic navigation virtual plan was reliable for single-implant immediate loading in aesthetic zone in one visit.This technique may short patient waiting time for interim prosthesis after surgery compared with other cur-rently available methods.关键词
