摘要
Abstract
"Fusion of horizons"emphasizes the interaction between understanding and expression in translation.As a unique translation mode,self-translation seeks to maintain a dynamic balance between the fusion and separation of horizons.Employing the literature analysis method,this paper analyzes the fusion and separation of horizons among subjects in Eileen Chang's self-translated text The rouge of the north,aiming to reveal the mechanism of dynamic balance in self-translation process.To enhance its acceptance in the target-language market,Eileen Chang adjusted the characterization,plot development,and narrative techniques of the original text,reflecting a separation of the self-translator's horizon from that of the original text;the reproduction of cultural elements in the original work and the preservation of its creative style reflect the fusion of horizons between the self-translator and the original work.By coordinating the interaction of horizons,the self-translator aims to be faithful to the original work and adaptable to the target language market,thereby promoting cross-cultural dissemination of the work.关键词
