摘要

Abstract

The tragic fate of the ordinary people,across all regions,remains one of the darkest moments in history.The Return of Martin Guerre and Slaves on Screen:Film and Historical Vision focus on such dark moments,both of which involve the narrative approaches of historiophoty and text history.These two approaches reveal the past to varying degrees,thereby enriching the modes of historical writing.The tension between"reality"and"fiction",emerging from these narrative modes,has become the internal logic and two focal points of Natalie Zemon Davis's academic pursuit.In her historical approach,differences of media do not prove that they fail to truthfully represent history.On the contrary,it is precisely through the cross-verification of text and screen media that Davis explores the diverse dimensions of historical narration and investigates pluralistic approaches to historical writing.While discerning the propositions of"reality"and"fiction"in historical narration,Davis persistently puts focus on the ordinary people in her writing,which constitutes her distinctive historical style.
