Impact of Multi-stage Drying Unit Configuration on Grain Drying Uniformity

Abstract
To address the issue of poor drying uniformity in small-scale grain dryers,this study proposes a multi-stage drying unit structure based on gradient temperature control.The research employs a combined methodology of theoretical analysis,mathematical modeling,and orthogonal experiments to systematically analyze the influence patterns of parame-ters such as initial moisture content,temperature difference between stages,and wind speed gradient on drying uniformi-ty.Orthogonal experiment results and analysis on corn drying reveal that initial moisture content and inter-stage temper-ature difference significantly impact drying uniformity.The optimal combination includes an initial moisture content of 28%,an inter-stage temperature difference of 6 ℃,a material layer thickness of 150 mm,and a wind speed decrea-sing by 0.5 m/s.The multi-stage drying unit structure enables uniform moisture distribution in dried grains,high effi-ciency,and absence of thermal damage,significantly improving drying uniformity.This research provides a theoretical basis and technical solutions for the structural optimization design of small-scale grain drying equipment.关键词
