农村劳动力回流对父母健康的影响研究
The Impact of Return Rural Migration on Parental Health

Abstract
In the context of a rapidly aging population and the accelerated rural migrant re-turn,understanding the impact of return rural migration to on parental health has significant impli-cations for promoting healthy aging process and rural revitalization.Based on the New Economics of Labor Migration,this paper explores the mechanisms through which return rural migration affects parental health.Using data from the China Family Panel Studies,the paper employs a fixed effects-instrumental variables model to empirically analyze the effects of return migration on pa-rental health.The results indicate that return migration significantly reduces the likelihood of par-ents' hospitalization,medical expenses,and depression,thereby improving both physical and mental well-being.Mechanism analysis suggest that return migration improves parental health by increasing intergenerational support in the forms of financial,health,and emotional assis-tance.Further study reveals that the impact of return migration to rural areas on parental health va-ries according to the demographic characteristics of both parents and children,as well as the socio-economic status of the household.As the duration of return increases,the marginal impact of return migration on parental health diminishes.In addition,the geographical proximity of return migration also affects health benefits.Furthermore,return migration can significantly increase par-ents'life satisfaction in economically disadvantaged areas,although this effect is less pronounced in economically advanced regions.These findings underscore the importance of labor mobility and intergenerational support in promoting healthy aging in rural China.关键词
