Abstract

A boiler experimental system composed of boiler combustion system,and deep condensation and combustion air heating and humidifying system was es-tablished.The system is monitored by a centralized monitoring system for the boiler experimental device.Numerical simulations were conducted on the boiler and burner to investigate the relationship between the mass concentration of nitrogen oxides(NOx)in boiler flue gas and parameters such as furnace temperature.Experiments were carried out using the boiler experi-mental setup to explore the influence of flue gas recir-culation and combustion air heating and humidifying on NOx emissions.Effective control of NOx emissions requires optimization of factors including temperature distribution in the furnace,oxygen content,and flue gas residence time in the furnace.When the boiler op-erates at full load,increasing the relative opening of the flue gas recirculation valve from 0 to 65%reduces the NOx concentration in the flue gas from 67.65 mg/m3 to 28.50 mg/m3.Flue gas recirculation proves to be an effective measure to reduce NOx emissions.Addition-ally,under full-load conditions,activating the deep condensation and combustion-supporting air heating/humidifying system results in a continuous decrease in NOx generation over time.The NOx mass concentration in the flue gas decreases from 75.0 mg/m3 to 28.2 mg/m3,while the exhaust gas temperature drops to 40℃.These findings demonstrate that air heating and hu-midification not only contribute to energy conservation but also enhance environmental protection by simulta-neously reducing NOx emissions and recovering waste heat from the flue gas.
