Abstract

Curriculum-based ideological and political education in higher education institutions is a crucial measure to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.Given its unique disciplinary value in talent cultivation,geography has become an important discipline for carrying out curriculum-based ideological and political education in universities.To systematically sort out the current research status,existing problems,and development directions of curriculum-based ideological and political education in university geography courses,this study conducts an analysis of relevant literature included in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)using the bibliometric method.The results show that current research focuses are concentrated on topics such as geographic information science,human geography,and curriculum construction.Meanwhile,there are problems including obvious disciplinary division,insufficient research on practical links,and inadequate integration of teacher education courses.In the future,efforts should be made to strengthen top-level design and interdisciplinary collaboration,integrate ideological and political education resources,deepen practice-oriented reforms and evaluation reforms,and enhance the cultivation of normal university students'capabilities in curriculum-based ideological and political education,so as to connect the entire chain of talent cultivation.
