Abstract

Migmatite-type uranium deposit is one of the most hopeful uranium deposits to be discovered in Kangdian geotectonic axis.Uranium mineralization in the Haita area of Miyi county in Sichuan province mainly occurs near the outer contact zone between the Jinning migmatitic granite and Proterozoic metamorphic-migmatite,and closely related spatially with felsic veins.However,the genetic affinity among the uranium mineralization,felsic veins,and migmatitic granite was poorly studied until present.This paper presented zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf isotopic analyses on uranium-producing felsic veins,and in situ uraninite LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating in the Haita area.The results indicate that the uranium-producing felsic veins and Jinning migmatitic granite were the products of magmatic evolution and differentiation of the same parental magma,with relation to remelting and anatectic migmatization of the Paleoproterozoic crystalline basement.The forming ages of the uraninite,uranium-producing felsic veins,and Jinning migmatitic granite(Dingzhen complex)in Haita area were dated at 800±61 Ma,828±5~825±24 Ma,and 823±52 Ma,respectively,all of which are nearly identical within error.Their diagenetic ages are also similar to those ore-forming ages.Accordingly uranium mineralization was caused by anatectic migmatization during the mid-Neoproterozoic(~800 Ma).Meanwhile,high-grade uranium mineralization was attributed to the late-stage hydrothermal alterations overprinting on the felsic veins.In conclusion,uranium mineralization in this area experienced two major stages,anatectic migmatization mineralization and late-stage hydrothermal alterations.
