Abstract
A uranium deposit of typical sandstone-type was recently discovered in the northern Ordos basin,its exact resource is significant for enhancing China's resource supplement.This study addresses the issue of uranium content interpretation bias in gamma logging caused by the disruption of the radium-radon(Ra-Rn)radioactive equilibrium.Systematic field measurements and evaluations of the Ra-Rn equilibrium coefficient were conducted by deploying parameter boreholes in the mining area with the methods of geophysical parameter borehole measurements and ore core comparisons,the Ra-Rn equilibrium state within the ore body was observed and calculated.Results indicate that Ra-Rn equilibrium disruption is generally occurred in the ore body with different degrees.Measurements reveal that the Ra-Rn equilibrium coefficient for the upper and lower sub-members of the Lower Zhiluo formation ranges from 0.84 to 0.90,with an average value of 0.86.These findings demonstrate that gamma logging data in the deposit require correction.The measured coefficient can be sued to accurately reflect true uranium content and provides critical technical parameters for calibrating the uranium resource amount.gamma logging data at the certain deposit and offers valuable reference for defining Ra-Rn equilibrium coefficients in similar sandstone-type uranium deposits within the region.关键词
