Influence of Urban Green Space Landscape Pattern on Rainfall Runoff

Abstract
The study of the impact of urban green space landscape patterns on surface runoff aims to provide a research basis and a certain theoretical basis for mitigating flooding by optimizing urban green space landscape patterns.In this study,the built-up area of Kunming City was taken as the scope,and the green space pattern index was calculated based on remote sensing images and on-site surveys.In addition,storm water management model(SWMM)was used to calculate the rainfall runoff.The results showed that:①The total runoff volume and peak runoff volume of the sub-catchment area increase with the return period of rainfall.A larger sub-catchment area can effectively prolong the time for the flood peak to occur.② When the density of green space patches is consistent,sub-catchment areas with low LSI and DIVISION values have low runoff volume and peak runoff volume,and flood peaks occur early.Similarly,high volume runoff volume and peak runoff volume make flood peak occur late.③ When the area of green space patches is consistent,smaller PD,LSI,and DIVISION values can suppress runoff formation,while a larger sub-catchment area can effectively prolong the time for the flood peak to occur.④ When the shape of green space patches is consistent,lower IJI and DIVISION values result in lower total runoff volume and peak runoff volume,and large contiguous green spaces can effectively prolong the time for the flood peak to occur.Therefore,the urban green space landscape pattern has a significant effect on surface runoff,which can be reduced by increasing the density of green spaces and the degree of aggregation between green spaces.关键词
