Abstract
Three types of ZSM-5 molecular sieves were synthesized by the hydrothermal crystallization method.These molecular sieves were characterized for their morphology,structure,and acidic properties by use of techniques such as XRD,SEM,N2 adsorption-desorption,NH3-TPD,and liquid amine titration.The effect of molecular sieve properties on the performance of the toluene disproportionation reaction was investigated.Experimental results indicates that the toluene disproportionation reaction on ZSM-5 molecular sieves is sensitive to both acidic properties and crystallinity.The amount of acid and the crystallinity of the molecular sieve directly affect the reaction conversion rate.The distribution of reaction products is related to the morphology of the molecular sieve.ZSM-5 molecular sieves with larger crystal sizes have a lower amount of acid on the external surface and a lower selectivity for C9+aromatic by-products.However,the longer channels can hinder the diffusion of product molecules,intensify the dealkylation side reactions,and result in a relatively higher selectivity of benzene.关键词
