Abstract
The thermal decomposition process and reaction kinetics of methylene diphenyl carbamate(MDC)were investigated by adopting DSC,TG-DSC,and TG-FTIR.The experimental results indicate that the thermal decomposition process of MDC is divided into two stages.The first stage involves MDC thermal decomposition to produce methylene diphenyl diisocyanate(MDI)with methanol as the gaseous product.The second stage corresponds to MDI's further polymerization reaction,accompanied by the production of CO2.Reaction kinetics analysis of the first thermal decomposition stage reveals activation energy(E)is 111.79 kJ/mol and the pre-exponential factor(A)is 1011.72 s-1.The thermal decomposition model is a phase boundary reaction model with kinetics functions of g(α)=α and f(α)=1,yielding the thermal decomposition equations:dα/dt=Aexp(-E/RT)and f(α)=1011.72exp(-1.344 5×104/T).关键词
