针刺联合穴位贴敷治疗变应性鼻炎的疗效观察及对血清和鼻分泌物炎症因子的影响
Therapeutic observation of acupuncture plus acupoint application for allergic rhinitis and the effects on inflammatory factors in serum and nasal secretions

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus acupoint application in treating allergic rhinitis(AR)and the effects on inflammatory factors in the serum and nasal secretions.Method Sixty-four AR patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,each comprising 32 cases.The observation group was treated with acupuncture combined with acupoint application,while the control group only received acupoint application.The two groups were observed before and after the treatment for changes in the rhinitis symptom score and total nasal symptoms score(TNSS);changes in the levels of galectin-10(gal-10)and eotaxin in the serum and nasal secretions were compared.Result After the intervention,the rhinitis symptoms score and TNSS dropped in both groups(P＜0.05)and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The observation group demonstrated a significant decrease in the levels of gal-10 and eotaxin in nasal secretions after the treatment(P＜0.05);there was no significant change in the levels of gal-10 and eotaxin in nasal secretions in the control group after the treatment(P＞0.05);after the intervention,there was no significant difference in the levels of gal-10 and eotaxin in nasal secretions between the two groups(P＞0.05).After the treatment,neither group showed significant changes in the serum levels of gal-10 and eotaxin(P＞0.05),and the between-group differences in the serum levels of gal-10 and eotaxin were insignificant(P＞0.05).The rhinitis symptoms score before the treatment had a positive correlation with serum gal-10 level(P＜0.05),and the TNSS had a negative correlation with eotaxin level in nasal secretions(P＜0.05).The serum gal-10 level before the treatment had a positive correlation with serum eotaxin level(P＜0.05),and the gal-10 level in nasal secretions had a positive correlation with the eotaxin level in nasal secretions(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture plus acupoint application can produce more significant efficacy than acupoint application alone in treating AR.Acupuncture plus acupoint application can notably down-regulate the gal-10 and eotaxin levels in nasal secretions of AR patients,suggesting its improving effect on rhinitis symptoms in AR patients should be related to the attenuation of topical inflammation in the nasal mucosa.关键词
