Abstract

In recent years,with the continuous development of virtual reality(VR)technology and augmented reality(AR)technology,digital science popularization content has presented more forms of expression.Traditional digital science popularization methods mostly use a single virtual reality or augmented reality technology,which lacks interactivity.Therefore,we take ocean knowledge popularization as an example to study the integration of virtual reality technology and augmented reality technology to fully present ocean knowledge popularization.The system uses 3ds Max to construct marine life models,and the VR underwater space environment is implemented using Self Illuminated self luminous reflection method.The AR part utilizes the Vuforia platform to develop the virtual real interaction part of the ocean world,and conducts experimental verification on the recognition map under occlusion and strong and weak light environments.The experimental results show that the ocean science popularization system based on the hybrid presentation of virtual reality and augmented reality technology has a two-way interactive effect,which can help users better interact with marine organisms and provide a new way for the dissemination of ocean science popularization knowledge.
