Abstract

The construction of large-scale wind-PV power generation bases in deserts,Gobi,and wilderness areas(hereinafter referred to as"desert-gobi-wilderness areas")is one of the major energy strategies of the country.However,the local power grid in such areas has weak flexibility and high abandoned power rate of new energy.In order to promote the consumption of new energy in the desert-gobi-wilderness areas,this paper takes typical industrial electricity load forms such as big data centers,poly-Si industry,and electrolytic water hydrogen production system as examples,and deeply explores their load characteristics.Then,simulation calculations are conducted on the overall power production of the large-scale wind-PV power generation base project in the desert-gobi-wilderness areas under three load scenarios:stable load,stable load and flexible load integration,and flexible load.The research results show that it is technically feasible to achieve high proportion consumption of wind power and PV power generation in the desert-gobi-wilderness areas by introducing flexible load schemes,and the power production and consumption system can achieve weak interconnection or even disconnection with the local power grid.The scheme of flexible load not only has a positive impact on the stability of the local power grid,but also effectively increases the consumption proportion of new energy in the desert-gobi-wilderness areas.
