All Ethnic Groups Jointly Exercising Sovereignty and the Advancement of the Historical Process of the Construction of the Community for Chinese Nation
摘要
Abstract
Whether the Yuan and Ming dynasties when local chieftains governed the region,the early Qing dynasty when the system of local chieftains was abolished and replaced with imperial administration,or the Republican era when border governance(边政治理)was implemented,Xiangxi was intentionally or unintentionally regarded as a"border re-gion"inhabited by"border dwellers".As a result,various tangible and intangible ethnic"boundaries"were repeatedly constructed.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,with the establishment of the Xiangxi ethnic autono-mous region and the gradual implementation of the regional ethnic autonomy system,the historical stereotypes regarding Xiangxi as a"remote and barbaric"region inhabited by"non-Han ethnic groups"began to be challenged and deconstruct-ed.The principle of"All Ethnic Groups Jointly Exercising Sovereignty"became the core theme of Xiangxi's historical transformation,providing the prerequisites and foundation for gradually eliminating factual inequalities between ethnic groups and achieving ethnic equality,unity,and common development.The principle of"all ethnic groups jointly exercis-ing sovereignty"has effectively advanced the historical development process of the construction of the community for Chinese nation and has become an organic component of its rich connotations.The establishment of ethnic autonomous re-gions itself is an important manifestation of"all ethnic groups jointly exercising sovereignty",and also an important per-formance of the construction of the community for Chinese nation.关键词
