敦煌文献中的浑姓族群族属及其互动考论
Ethnic Affiliation of the Hun Clan in Dunhuang Documents and the Interaction among Their Ethnic Groups

Abstract
Scholars have long debated the ethnic origins of the Hun(浑)clan mentioned in Dunhuang documents,with three dominant views:the Tuyuhun(吐谷浑)theory,the Tiele Hun tribe(铁勒浑部)theory,and the proposition that their origins remain undetermined.This study systematically traces the diachronic evolution of"Tuyuhun"in historical texts,verifies the activities of the Tiele Hun tribe as recorded in official histories,and integrates Dunhuang manuscripts,unearthed epitaphs,and other sources to argue from dual perspectives of ethnic migration and surname evolution.It sup-ports the Tuyuhun theory,positing that the Tuyuhun ethnic designation evolved sequentially as"Tuyuhun"—"Tuihun"—"Hun".The northern Tiele Hun tribe,though submitting to the central dynasty,remained geographically distant from Dun-huang;those migrating to Hexi later declined,merging into the Uyghur tribal alliance and bearing no direct relation to Dunhuang's Hun clan.As a key ethnic group in the Hexi Corridor,the layered changes in Tuyuhun's surname forms not only reflect the complexities of ancient ethnic migrations but also vividly illustrate the essence of multi-ethnic integration in the formation of the Chinese nation.关键词
