Abstract

To understand the prevalence of brucellosis in goats and the immune efficacy of foot-and-mouth disease(FMD)and peste des petits ruminants(PPR)vaccines in Dejiang county,a total of 4 106 goat serum samples were collected from 2023 to 2024.Serological tests were conducted using the rose bengal plate agglutination test and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The results showed that Brucellosis serum antibody positive rate:0%(0/4 106).FMD type O serum antibody posi-tive rate:82.55%(1 873/2 269).FMD type A serum antibody positive rate:76.95%(1 746/2 269).PPR serum antibody posi-tive rate:77.83%(1 766/2 269).The findings indicated that no Brucellosis-positive samples were detected among the 4 106 goat serum samples,demonstrating effective control of brucellosis transmission among goats in Dejiang county in recent years.Both FMD and PPR immunization antibody levels exceeded 70%in the 2 269 tested samples,confirming the effectiveness of current FMD and PPR vaccination programs for goats in Dejiang county.This investigation provides essential data support for future goat disease prevention and control strategies in Dejiang county.
