Abstract

Container technology has been widely used in the industry because of its lightweight,portable,easy-expand and other advantages.Due to the necessity of downloading the required image before starting the container,container image download delay is directly related to the efficiency of online service and update iteration,which in turn affects service quality.Existing methods handle con-current image pull requests through Peer-to-Peer(P2P)transmission technology to improve the speed of image distribution,but the initial phase of its transmission is less efficient,resulting in users waiting for service for a long time in task scenarios with strict requirements on service response speed,such as e-commerce platforms conducting promotions and streaming services releasing new hot content.To address this problem,we propose a batch-type image distribution scheme based on inter planetary file system(IPFS).The scheme first adds the nodes in the cluster that have the required images to the IPFS network,and then,based on the number of source nodes in the current network,adds the demand nodes to the IPFS network in batches for image transmission until all the demand nodes have obtained the required images.Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can effectively improve the response speed of some nodes,and improve the robustness of the distribution process.
