Abstract

In order to gain a deeper understanding of the sedimentary facies characteristics of the Hechuan block,clarify the distribution pattern of sedimentary facies sand-bodies,and determine favorable facies zones,the river channel was manually identified and tracked based on drilling,core,logging,and outcrop profile data,and combined with paleogeomorphological evolution characteristics and 3D seis-mic data.Using waveform classification attributes and instantaneous amplitude slicing attributes,the distribution characteristics of the river channel were further clarified,and the sedimentary facies pattern and favorable reservoir development locations of the Xu 2 member in Hechuan block were determined.The research results indicate that the Xu 2 member in Hechuan block mainly developed channel fill-ing,channel overflow,and flood plain microfacies of braided river delta,and locally developed delta front microfacies.The channel filling microfacies is the main sedimentary microfacies developed in the Xu 2 member of the study area,and the high porosity and high-quality reservoirs are mainly enriched in the main river channel zone.The reservoirs developed in Xu 21 and Xu 22 are better than those in Xu 23.The research results can provide scientific basis for the division of favorable areas for tight sandstone reservoirs in Hechuan block and the deployment of natural gas exploration and development plans.
