Abstract

When implementing conventional water flooding measures in old oil fields,it is common to encounter problems such as une-ven sweep and advancing along old waterways of injected water.A radial drilling-pressure flooding experimental model was developed by combining radial drilling technology,and the influence of sequentially opening production wells on the sweep effect of radial drilling-pressure flooding construction was studied based on a five point well pattern.The results indicate that radial drilling can improve the sweep effect of injected water and make the sweep more balanced.The optimal drilling angle is 45°when the permeability defference is 5.Sequentially opening production wells can guide the injection of water into the non mainstream direction.During the pressure flood-ing,opening the production well which is in the area with poor physical properties first can achieve the best oil displacement effect;After pressure flooding,opening the production wells in the same order can achieve worse displacement effect than that the former;After pres-sure flooding,opening all the production wells simultaneously would achieve the worst oil displacement effect due to the difference in the viscosity of oil and water.The recovery rate of forward pressure flooding is 4.67%higher than that of reverse pressure flooding.Adop-ting forward pressure flooding and drilling radial holes between the injection well and the worst performing well,as well as sequentially opening production wells during the pressure flooding process,is beneficial for improving the sweep effect of medium permeability reser-voirs.
