Abstract

The structure of the supersonic separation tube is simple,but the fluid flow and phase transition process are relatively com-plex.In order to understand the mechanism of gas-liquid nucleation and phase transition,the flow characteristics of the fluid in the su-personic separation tube are studied.Taking the methane-water vapor two-component medium as an example,the flow characteristics and condensation process of the fluid inside the supersonic separation tube were studied by combining numerical simulation with theoretical analysis.The variation laws of pressure,temperature,velocity,and subcooling degree in the flow field were obtained,and the extreme value position in the flow field was studied.The results indicate that due to the influence of geometric structure,the mixed gas flowing through the supersonic separation tube will generate a low-temperature and low-pressure region in the expansion section,where the ve-locity is supersonic.Inlet pressure,inlet temperature,and outlet back pressure are key parameters for studying the flow characteristics of supersonic separation tubes.Increasing the inlet pressure and reducing the outlet back pressure will make the pressure drop and temper-ature drop inside the supersonic separation tube gradually increase,and the supercooling degree also increase accordingly;Lowering the inlet temperature will make the minimum temperature in the flow field reduce,and the low-temperature and low-pressure region in-crease,which is beneficial for the spontaneous condensation of condensable components.The analysis results of the flow characteristics of supersonic separation tubes can provide a basis for subsequent research on the condensation of condensable components inside the tubes.
