Abstract
Constellation shaping generates Gaussian-like signal distributions,enabling communication systems to achieve transmission rates close to the Shannon capacity.With the ever-increasing demand for spectral efficiency in 6G communications,constellation shaping is expected to become a key technology in next-generation mobile systems.This paper investigates multilevel shaped polar-coded modulation with a focus on hybrid automatic repeat request(HARQ)scenarios.A multi-rate transmission scheme based on incremental freezing is proposed.Specifically,when retransmission occurs,unreliable bits from the previously transmitted block are extracted,reshaped,re-encoded,and sent in the subsequent block.At the receiver,these retransmitted bits are decoded in a last-in-first-out manner and treated as frozen bits for the decoding of subsequent blocks.Simulation results demonstrate that,compared with the uniform distribution case,the proposed scheme achieves at least a 0.5 dB performance gain across different numbers of transmissions.关键词
