Constant-Envelope Waveform Techniques for 6G Mobile Communications

Abstract
Driven by the demand for high energy efficiency in sixth-generation(6G)communication systems,the efficiency of power amplifiers has become a critical bottleneck that restricts terminal performance enhancement and power consumption optimization.Traditional multicarrier waveforms exhibit excessively high peak-to-average power ratios,forcing power amplifiers to operate in low-efficiency back-off regions for extended periods,which severely limits amplification efficiency.In contrast,constant-envelope waveforms can significantly improve amplifier efficiency and are regarded as promising candidates for low-power physical layer design in 6G.To address this issue,several representative constant-envelope modulation techniques are introduced,with an in-depth analysis of their waveform structures,modulation principles,and performance characteristics.Comparative simulations and performance evaluations are conducted under typical channel models.The results provide theoretical support and technical references for the design and optimization of low-power and high-reliability physical layer waveforms in 6G.关键词
