Massive MIMO-Enabled High-Reliability Low-Latency Communication:Key Technology Analysis and Development

Abstract
As a core technology of sixth-generation mobile communications,massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)shows significant advantages in supporting high-reliability low-latency communication(HRLLC)due to its large spatial degrees of freedom and strong beamforming capability.This paper systematically elaborates the enabling mechanisms of massive MIMO for HRLLC key performance indicators,including spatial diversity,spatial multiplexing,beamforming,and space-time exchange.Based on this foundation,several technical solutions for realizing HRLLC with massive MIMO are explored.Two-dimensional space-time channel coding leverages spatial degrees of freedom to replace temporal redundancy,achieving joint optimization of reliability improvement and latency reduction.Cell-free massive MIMO,through distributed deployment and a large number of antennas,significantly enhances channel reliability.The integration of massive MIMO with multi-connectivity architecture further shortens transmission latency or enhances link reliability through multipath transmission.Finally,based on current research progress of massive MIMO in supporting HRLLC,future directions are discussed,including deep integration with cell-free massive MIMO,space-time two-dimensional channel coding,and multi-connectivity architectures.关键词
