Effects of Sand Fixation Patterns of Different Vegetation Types on the Soil Seed Bank in the Mu Us Sandy Land

Abstract
This study analyzes the response of the soil seed bank to different vegetation sand fixation pat-terns,aiming to explore the vertical distribution,diversity,and similarity of soil seed banks under various sand fixation models.In the Mu Us Sandy Land,the mobile sandy land was used as the control(CK),and four artificial forest fixed sandy land plots were set up,including Amorpha fruticosa(Af),Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica(Ps),a mixed forest of Salix cheilophila and Hippophae rhamnoides(Sc-Hr),and a mixed forest of Salix cheilophila and Picea asperata(Sc-Pa).The soil seed bank of different vegetation sand fixation patterns was studied by combining field vegetation survey with soil seed germination experi-ment.The results show that:1)A total of 25 species of plants appeared in the soil seed bank in the study area,belonging to 13 families,with a maximum of 5 species of Asteraceae.After the vegetation sand fixa-tion pattern was established,the relative abundance of annual herbaceous plants decreased,and the relative abundance of perennial herbaceous plants decreased.Relative abundance increases.2)The seed density of the soil seed bank ranges from 100 to 1 224.9 seeds/m2,which is shown as:Af>Sc-Hr>Ps>Sc-Pa>CK;Seeds in the soil seed bank are concentrated in the 0-5 cm soil layer.3)The Shannon diversity index and Margalef richness index of the 0-5 cm soil layer of the four sand fixation patterns are significantly higher than CK.4)The average similarity coefficients of the four sand fixation patterns were low,ranging from 0.08 to 0.42,indicating that the species composition differences were significant.Establishing a vegetation sand fixation model is conducive to increasing the storage of soil seed banks.In this study,the Af and Sc-Hr sand fixation patterns performed better.关键词
