Abstract

In this study,[EMIm]DCA was synthesized through a two-step process:N-alkylation of 1-methylimidazole with bromoethane to form 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide([EMIm]Br),followed by ion exchange with sodium dicyanamide.The structure and properties of the products were systematically characterized using FT-IR,TG-DTG,and H-NMR techniques.Optimization results revealed that solvent-free N-alky-lation achieved 97.9%yield of[EMIm]Br under stoichiometric conditions(1-methylimidazole/bromoethane molar ratio=1/1.1)at 30℃.Subsequent ion exchange in acetone at 60℃for 48 h yielded 95.9%[EMIm]DCA.The synthesized ionic liquid exhibited superior thermal sta-bility(decomposition temperature>250℃)and broad solubility in both polar and non-polar solvents.This developed protocol features opera-tional simplicity,high efficiency,and cost-effectiveness,providing a technically viable pathway for industrial production of functional ionic liq-uids.
