Efficacy of Keloid Core Excision Combined with Early Electron Beam Radiotherapy for Keloid Treatment

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of keloid core excision combined with early electron beam radiotherapy for keloid treatment.Methods Clinical data of 20 patients with keloids who underwent keloid core excision combined with early electron beam radiotherapy in the outpatient dermatology department of the author's hospital from November 2023 to February 2024 were retrospectively analysed.To assess the effectiveness of this treatment modality on keloids,patient satisfaction and changes in Vancouver scar scale(VSS)scores.Results All 20 patients with keloids achieved a flat state of trauma after surgery without any obvious adverse reactions.During the 6-month follow-up period,all patients had no keloid recurrence,and satisfaction surveys indicated satisfaction,with an effective rate and satisfaction rate of 100%.The VSS scores were all lower than 4 at 6 months postoperatively and were significantly lower than preoperatively(P＜0.05).Conclusion The endonucleotomy micro-innovation technique combined with electron beam for keloids has demonstrated significant advantages in terms of efficacy,safety and patient experience,providing more options for keloid scar treatment.关键词
