Research Progress on the Relationship between Advanced Glycation end Products and Skin Aging
摘要
Abstract
Skin is the largest organ of the human body and the most intuitive manifestation of the aging process.Under the influence of endogenous and exogenous factors,skin aging and degeneration can be accelerated.Skin glycosylation refers to the non-enzymatic reaction between ingested carbohydrates and amino acids in proteins(such as collagen)in the body,which is one of the causes of endogenous skin aging.In this reaction process,a series of complex and irreversible late glycosylation end products(advanced glycation end products,AGEs)are produced,which play an important role in damaging the skin.The accumulation of AGEs in the body can lead to a variety of adverse reactions such as protein dysfunction,oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions.With the increase of age,AGEs can accumulate in the skin and lead to skin problems such as wrinkles and loss of elasticity.This article will explore the role of glycosylation in skin aging and provide a review.关键词
