Abstract
Platelet transfusion plays a critical role in the treatment of hematologic diseases,severe illnesses and malig-nancies.However,the unique storage temperature(22±2℃)makes it the most susceptible blood component to bacterial contamination,which may lead to life-threatening sepsis or even death in recipients.In China,the monitoring and preven-tion of platelet bacterial contamination faces a series of challenges,including low testing coverage,insufficient technology a-doption,and a lack of standardized protocols.To address these issues,the Transfusion Medicine Branch of Beijing Medical Association and the Transfusion Medicine Expert Committee of the Bethune Charitable Foundation jointly organized a multi-disciplinary panel of over 200 experts from across China,specializing in transfusion medicine,microbiology,and infection prevention and control.The panel conducted a systematic review of domestic and international literature(January 1970 to A-pril 2025).Utilizing the GRADE evidence classification system and considering China's specific context,the panel devel-oped 17 evidence-based recommendations spanning surveillance technologies,operational standards,risk assessment,and digital solutions.These recommendations aim to provide a scientific foundation for establishing a comprehensive national framework for platelet bacterial contamination monitoring and prevention.关键词
