摘要

Abstract

To investigate the metabolic differences among different melon varieties,this study utilized liquid chromatogra-phy-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)to analyze the metabolites in the sarcocarp of six melon varieties(combinations).The results showed that a total of 756 metabolites were detected,includ-ing 251 lipids and lipid-like molecules,110 organoheterocyclic compounds,99 organic acids and derivatives,90 organic oxygen compounds,66 phenylpropanoids and polyketides,and 56 benzenoids.Differential and cluster analysis revealed that Xizhoumi 25,Dumi 5 and 20M7 were clustered into one group,while T5,T6,and T7 clustered into another group.Metabolic pathway enrichment analysis indicated that the differentially expressed metabolites were primarily enriched in-to amino acid metabolism,nucleotide metabolism,and sugar metabolism.This study elucidated the differential metabo-lites and metabolic pathways in the sarcocarp of six melon varieties(combinations),which provides data reference for the improvement of melon germplasm resources and research on quality related metabolic pathways.
