Health State Utility Values for HIV-infected Individuals/AIDS Patients in China:A Systematic Review and Meta Analysis

Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the health utility value of people infected with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)and acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)patients in China,and provide a reference for the relevant cost-utility analysis in the AIDS field.Methods The computer system retrieved the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)Full-text database,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,PubMed and Web of Science databases.The system searched for literature related to the measurement of health utility values of HIV-infected individuals/AIDS patients in China.Meta-analysis of health utility values was conducted using R software.Results Ultimately,9 literatures were included,with health utility values ranging from 0.75 to 0.95.The three-level five-dimensional health Scale(EQ-5D-3L)had the highest usage frequency.Meta-analysis showed that the health utility value of HIV-infected individuals/AIDS patients in China was 0.83(95%CI:0.78～0.87).The health utility value of HIV-positive pregnant and postpartum women is lower(0.77);People over 30 years old,married or cohabiting,and with lower annual income have lower health utility values.The longer the years of education and treatment,the higher the health utility values of patients.The health utility values of EQ-5D-3L,Five-level Five-Dimensional Health Scale(EQ-5D-5L),and Six-dimensional Health Survey Short Form(SF-6D)were 0.88(95%CI:0.82～0.94),0.77(95%CI:0.75～0.79),and 0.81(95%CI:0.75～0.87),respectively.Conclusion There are relatively few studies on the measurement of health utility values among HIV-infected individuals/AIDS patients in China,and the heterogeneity of health utility values measured by different studies is relatively high.Patient category,age,income,marital status,years of education and duration of treatment have an impact on the quality of life.关键词
