Abstract

Using masson pine as raw material,deeply pre-hydrolysis kraft pulping process was employed to investigate the effects of pre-hydrolysis conditions on the chemical composition and fiber morphology of masson pine.The results showed that prolonging the pre-hydrolysis time and increasing the pre-hydrolysis temperature resulted in extensive dissolution of hemicellulose and disruption of the raw material structure,but also led to a decrease in yield of raw material.When the conditions were 135 min of pre-hydrolysis time,170℃of pre-hydrolysis temperature,and liquor-to-wood ratio of 1∶4,the hemicellulose,cellulose,and lignin contents of masson pine changed from 22.80%,46.81%,and 28.40%to 12.71%,49.82%,and 27.61%,respectively,the dissolution rate of hemicellulose was 53.3%,and the yield of pre-hydrolyzed chips was 83.9%.It's that during the pre-hydrolysis process,the dissolution of hemicellulose induced structural changes in the masson pine fibers,which facilitated the penetration and diffusion of chemical agents during the cooking process and thus promoted lignin dissolution.When the cooking conditions were 22%of active alkali(NaOH),35%of sulfidity,170℃of cooking temperature,110 min of cooking time,and liquor-to-wood ratio of 1∶4.5,the fine pulp yield of pre-hydrolysis-kraft pulp in the cooking stage was 47.1%,with Kappa number of 38.8 and intrinsic viscosity of 796 mL/g.
