Abstract

[Objective]To analyze the spatiotemporal patterns and spatial autocorrelation characteristics of landscape ecological risks in the western coastal zone of Bohai Sea,and provide references for the prevention and control of regional ecological risks and the maintenance of ecological security in the coastal zone.[Methods]Based on the land use and cover data in 2000,2005,2010,2015 and 2020,the particle size-exponential response curve,accuracy loss assessment and semi-variogram analysis were used to determine the optimal scale for coastal landscape ecological risk assessment.A landscape ecological risk index model was further constructed and integrated with spatial autocorrelation analysis to reveal the spatiotemporal heterogeneity and evolutionary trends of landscape ecological risk in western coastal zone of Bohai Sea.[Results]The optimal spatial granularity and magnitude of the landscape ecological risk assessment for the western coastal zone of Bohai Sea were 110 m and 1 650 m,respectively.Cultivated lands,construction lands and shallow sea waters were the main landscape types.Over the past two decades,cropland,coastal wetlands and shallow sea waters decreased by 1 206.07,1 068.86 and 1 021.07 km².Conversely,the area of construction lands and artificial wetlands increased by 2 762.39 and 1 315.25 km².The analysis of landscape ecological risk dynamics demonstrated significant shifts in risk distribution patterns.Specifically,the total area of high-risk zones expanded by 1 023.66 km²,while moderately high-risk zones contracted by 1 802.30 km².This demonstrates a chain-like shift from low-risk to high-risk landscapes.The landscape ecological risk shows significant spatial autocorrelation.High-high risk clustering areas were predominantly associated with artificial wetlands,coastal wetlands and shallow sea waters,whereas low-low risk clustering zones primarily consisted of croplands,forested areas and grasslands.[Conclusion]From 2000 to 2020,Bohai western coastal zone demonstrated an increasing trend in high-risk landscape ecological areas,with these zones predominantly located in the junction of shallow waters and wetlands with terrestrial landscapes.Therefore,it is recommended to further strengthen the monitoring and assessment of ecological risks in coastal landscapes,adopt a series of measures such as climate change response and land sea integrated planning These coordinated actions will help safeguard coastal ecological security and promote regional sustainable development in coastal zone.
