Abstract
Objective To investigate the current status of sleep quality and psychological distress in patients with liver cancer and their correlation with quality of life.Methods A total of 116 patients with primary liver cancer treated at Zhenjiang First People's Hospital from January 2023 to October 2024 were selected.The sleep quality and psychological distress level of the patients were evaluated by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and the Distress Thermometer(DT),with their influencing factors analyzed.The Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation of PSQI score and DT score with quality of life(Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Hepatobiliary Questionnaire,FACT-Hep)in patients with liver cancer.Results The average PSQI score of 116 patients with primary liver cancer was 9.02±1.27.The average DT score was 4.31±1.02.Univariate regression analysis showed that age,payment method of medical expenses,per capita monthly household income,quality of life,and TNM stages were the influencing factors of sleep quality and psychological distress level in patients with liver cancer(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age of 45-59 years old,self-paid medical expenses,per capita monthly household income≤5 000 yuan,and poor quality of life were the risk factors affecting sleep quality and psychological distress in patients with liver cancer(P<0.05).The Spearman correlation analysis showed that the PSQI score and the DT score were negatively correlated with various dimension scores of the FACT-Hep in patients with liver cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion The sleep quality of patients with liver cancer is not optimistic as their psychological distress is prevalent.These two factors are negatively correlated with the quality of life of patients.Clinical intervention measures should be developed to improve the sleep quality of patients and reduce the level of psychological distress to improve their quality of life.关键词
