Influence and Optimization of Recycled Aggregate Pre-mixing on the Performance of Pervious Concrete

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effects of pre-mixing recycled aggregate on its abrasion and crushing characteristics,as well as on the properties of pervious concrete,and to optimize the mix design.Recycled aggregates with particle sizes of 5-10 mm and 10-20 mm were adopted.The influence of pre-mixing time on the properties of both the recycled aggregate and the resulting pervious concrete was studied.Based on the abraded fines generated,the mix design of pervious concrete was optimized using two methods:the"void replacement method"and the"paste replacement method".Finally,pore characteristic analysis was performed using image analysis combined with MATLAB software.The results indicate that:with increasing pre-mixing time,the crushing rate and abrasion rate of the recycled aggregate gradually increased,while the water permeability of the pervious concrete decreased;The two replacement methods exhibited differences in their effect on the compressive strength of pervious concrete made with different-sized recycled aggregates,but both methods effectively improved the water permeability.关键词
