Abstract
Transcranial ultrasound imaging holds significant clinical value due to its non-ionizing nature and portability.However,the acoustic impedance mismatch between the skull and soft tissue results in strong ultrasound reflections,severely limiting effective penetration for intracranial tissue and blood flow imaging.To address this challenge,this study designed and optimized the material parameters of a gradient acoustic impedance matching layer for transcranial ultrasound applications.This matching layer significantly enhances the sound intensity transmission coefficient across a broad frequency range(1-2 MHz),comparable to a continuous impedance matching layer.The proposed layer effectively reduces target shape distortion and enhances image signal quality.In addition,the simulation results of the curved skull model show excellent practical prospects of the gradient matching layers.This study provides important guidance for the experimental preparation of the gradient acoustic impedance matching layer for ultrasonic transcranial applications,and lays a theoretical foundation for the optimization and application of the matching layer.关键词
